Check to see which Web browser you're using. The most common are Internet Explorer and Firefox, but Google Chrome is also popular.

If you aren't sure, look at your computer desktop. The Google Chrome icon looks like this: Google Chrome icon

Unfortunately, Chrome has a faulty PDF viewer, so it may not work for ebooks or other PDF documents.

You can either switch to Internet Explorer or Firefox, or you can do the following:

  • In the Chrome address bar type in: about://plugins
  • Look for the Chrome PDF Viewer
  • Click disable

This will allow the browser to download the PDF so that you can click on it to open in Adobe Acrobat.
