Q. How do I get my library badge certificate?
Great question! Once you pass all the required steps in the Microcourse (including the final two assignments that are hand-graded), follow these steps to retrieve your badge:
- Open the Research and Critical Inquiry Microcourse that you completed.
- From Modules in the Canvas menu, go to step 7.4 to activate your badge. If you have completed all the required steps satisfactorily, you will see a green checkmark next to the Final Assignment and Badge information followed by a “lit up” badge logo.
- Note: If your badge is not “lit up” and you don’t see a green checkmark, you should check your grades to be sure you passed each step. Students are often asked to revise the final two assignments, steps 7.2 and 7.3.
- Select the Badges link from the left course menu.
- Select the “lit up” badge icon on the screen.
- Screenshot the window with your email address or name and your completion date visible as in the example below.
- You can then submit your badge screenshot in your UF100 or UF200 class. If you are currently taking UF100, please save your badge screenshot to submit in UF200 in a later semester.
